In Zeiten weltweit erstarkender Queer- und Transfeindlichkeit können Community Orte bedeutsam sein und stärken. Wir wollen mit tink einen solchen Ort schaffen und zeigen am 06. und 07. September Filme mit dem Fokus auf Lebensrealitäten von trans inter und nicht-binären Menschen.

Die verschiedenen Perspektiven und Visionen in den Filmen berühren Themen wie Gemeinschaft und selbstgewählte Familie, Anerkennung und Freundschaft. Sie können sowohl lustig sein, als auch den ganz normalen, mitunter feindlichen, Alltag zeigen, sich mit Vergangenem auseinandersetzen und fragen, wie wir dem begegnen wollen. Und manchmal geht es einfach um Trotz und den Willen nicht aufzugeben, sondern weiterzumachen.

tink haben wir zusammen mit einer Gruppe aus tin und cis Menschen geplant. Es wird eine Auswahl aus Filmen geben, die sich sowohl künstlerisch, dokumentarisch, biografisch, als auch politisch den vielfältigen Thematiken nähern. Insbesondere Filme, die zu einem großen Teil aus den Communities selbst heraus entstanden sind, haben unsere Auswahl bestimmt, denn es ist auch eine Selbstermächtigung, die eigenen Geschichten zu erzählen.

tink soll ein Community-Ort der Begegnung und Vernetzung sein.

In times of growing global hostility towards queer and trans people, community spaces can be significant and empowering. We want to create such a place with tink and will be showing films on September 6th and 7th with a focus on the realities of trans, inter, and non-binary people.

The different perspectives and visions in the films touch on themes such as community and chosen family, recognition and friendship. They can be funny, as well as showing normal, sometimes hostile, everyday life, dealing with the past and asking how we want to face it. And sometimes it’s simply about defiance and the will not to give up, but to keep going.

tink was organized by a group of tin and cis people. It will feature a selection of films that approach the diverse topics from an artistic, documentary, biographical, and political perspective. Our selection was particularly influenced by films that were largely created by the communities themselves, because telling one’s own stories is also a form of self-empowerment.

tink is intended to be a community space for meeting and connecting.
